It was chilling. A good twist. Barely any romance. And creepy children. Creepy children are the best. Sad that Andrew killed the cat and the other governesses. Glad they were stopped from killing more people. Wonder if Andrew killed Timothy.
Children Of Fear
Also wonder if the people hearing it knew it was true. Glad Maggie's sister was caught and Maggie was free. View 1 comment. Jun 13, Carly rated it it was amazing Shelves: mystery-horror , paranormal , scifi-fantasy. Stine's books are always a pleasure to read. This was no exception. His plots have become too easy to guess though although there is always the usual small twist I never get. Enjoyable :.

Sep 26, Selvianty Selvianty rated it liked it Shelves: thriller , young-adult , sold. Apr 13, Jaime rated it really liked it. I was a huge R. Stine fan in my early teens! I loved all the fear street books! They are what got me into reading again!
Jan 31, Ari Helaine rated it liked it. Melodramatic fun! This was a favorite when I was in middle-school. I like a little gore and an old-fashioned ghost story, fueled by romance and evil-children. Jul 23, Alex rated it really liked it Shelves: books-i-loved-when-i-was-younger. Usually nostalgia clouds my judgment on Fear Street books, but this one is actually legitimately good.

There are few things in this world creepier than evil children. Nov 02, Shannon rated it liked it Shelves: , creepy. The focus was all on creepy kids and I was so into it. Scenes like view spoiler [Maggie finding the dead cat in her bed hide spoiler ] were messed up, but I thought the parts where Garret showed up in the background to be the best. This kid seriously just had to appear two seconds after someone tried to warn Maggie and I was terrified.
There was just something so eerie about Garret. The ending was absolutely horrible though. Like, what was the deal with the ghost mother then?

Andrew had said that Garret pushed her in the well and killed her, but if Garret was innocent than who killed her? Was she even murdered or did she truly die from some illness? I was just super confused at that point.
It felt like the author just went for something that would be shocking instead of something that made sense. Dec 15, Chelsea Gouin rated it it was ok Shelves: fear-street. This one wasn't bad but doesn't pay off until the very end. Timothy is telling his friends a scary story. A story about a woman falsely accused of her fathers murder who gets thrown into a Jane Eyre plot that ends in murder.
Scary children is usually a thrill for me but this one was such a dud. With gruesome deaths sprinkled throughout, this could have been a better book. But there wasn't even nuggets of fake outs, it was a rush job of characters making stupid decisions. And the ending felt like This one wasn't bad but doesn't pay off until the very end. And the ending felt like a cop out. Jun 04, Amber rated it it was amazing.
I think I liked the Fear Saga more than just plain old fear street the series just had more to it for me I really loved all the twisted tales from this series so much fun I had an absolute blast reading all of these again in The story is a whodunnit sort of mystery, as it begins with Claudia — who has been invited along with some other former bunkmates to stay at their rich friend's house, sans-parents — waking up on the beach, buried to her neck in the sand, with the tide coming closer.
She legitimately might drown; her throat is parched and her face is severely burned.go to site

I mean, she fell asleep in a hole — how could she not just dust herself off from that one and head back in time for Degrassi or whatever teenagers watched in the mid-'90s? The events only get crazier from there. Sophie getting shocked by an electric fence. Claudia getting a dog sicced on her, leg chomped on, and sent out to sea for sharks to eat. How cool would it have been to get to see a cast member, Melissa Joan Hart, or Andrea Barber get to expand their acting chops getting to take part in a series like this?
Sixteen-year-old fraternal twins Josie and Rachel decide to go horseback riding one day. And get this — Josie has short dark hair and big, flashing eyes while Rachel… wait for it… has Long. They invite their friend Melissa who drives a cool Firebird and their little sister two years younger Erica who is more or less described as a thick dumpy mess. The story is one of the few R. Stine books to end in a suicide, where Erica and Melissa break through the ice on a cold, frosty lake.
Can you just imagine how cold, blue, amazing, and darkly beautiful that shot could have been? She would have been played by Paige Moss, the girl who played Tara in that went all psycho on Kelly.
This is a story we need on TV! And if there really was a Fear Street TV show, every red-haired girl in Hollywood would have a job for at least a decade or two.
